Wallace,Lewis. "Disney to Buy Marvel in $4 Billion Deal." Wired. 31 August,2009.

The author talked about the proposed deal of Disney buying Marvel, This deal is not for certain but if the Marvel stock holders agree to the terms it seems more than likely. The author talked about the upside of the deal being that Disney is the perfect home for the thousands of Marvel Super Hero's, by using Disney's global organization, the Marvel brand will be exposed to millions more than it ever could before. The author also showed the downside of this trade and many people who had been with Marvel since the beginning are not in support of this trade, such as Warren Ellis who had worked with Marvel in the past he is quoted as saying "it's horrible".

In my opinion, i think this is a horrible idea. This will just sway the amount of media that Disney has under its control, it almost seems to me there should be some kind of control on monopolization of the media like there is with gasoline or transportation. As much as the people at Marvel think this deal is going to be for exposure, i can't help but think that it was more about the money.
